Lesson #54, December 27, 2024

When you want to talk about future plans or things that you will do, use this structure:

"Mag ___ ako"

In Filipino, future actions are formed by repeating the first consonant and vowel of the root word and adding it after 'mag-' or 'um-.' For example, 'Mag-la-lunch ako' means 'I will have lunch.' This structure makes it easy to share your plans or intentions.

Key Vocabulary:

"Mag" - Will do/Will

"Ako" - I/Me

"Lunch" - Lunch

"Beach" - Beach

"Shopping" - Shopping

"Basketball" - Basketball

"Inom" - Drink

"Lakad" - Walk

"Pahinga" - Rest

"Trabaho" - Work
