When you want to talk about food or drinks that are hot, or were/are going to be hot, you can use the phrase:

"Mainit"

This translates to "Hot" and can be used for temperature when referring to food or drink.

"Sopas" - Soup

"Tsaa" - Tea

"Sinigang" - Sour Soup

"Tsokolate" - Hot Chocolate

Other Useful Variations:

Mainit ang tsaa ko.

My tea is hot.

Mainit ang sinigang kanina.

The sinigang was hot earlier.
